Sonam too sick to meet New Zealand's PM

Sonam Kapoor's ongoing health problems have been blamed on low immunity levels. Seems like Sonam Kapoor is going through rough phase in her personal life due to non-stop shooting schedule. She has been forced to miss out important events due to bad health. Just a few months ago, she was diagnosed with typhoid. With barely any time to recover, she had to get back to work.

Sonam, who is currently filming for Abbas-Mustan's Players with Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu, not only missed out on Mustan's birthday bash but also on the rare opportunity to meet New Zealand's prime minister, John Key. Reportedly, the actress had a stomach infection, which prevented her from making it to the on Wednesday, at Film City, where the NZ Prime Minister met the rest of the cast and crew.

When contacted, Sonam's spokesperson made light of the actress's condition and simply said, "She's okay now." However, a source close to Sonam revealed, "She's extremely prone to infections. And she needs to guard herself constantly against falling ill."

Sonam to host Fashion based reality show

Just a few days after Kareena Kapoor gave the nod to host a style-based reality show on television, it’s now Sonam Kapoor’s turn to follow suit for a similar show. It’s being said that the actor was approached by a channel to host a reality show which is centered around shopping for the latest trends and keeping the fashion flag flying high.

A source says, “Sonam has always been looked up to as a style icon by the younger generation. At Cannes too, she was a stunner in a Jean Paul Gaultier gown. Many international designers were all praises for her appearance and the way she carried herself.” Although nothing has been finalised yet, talks seem to be favourable as of now. While several people are keen to see if the actor will be able to pull it off as a television host, they are confident that she will have a lot of valuable tips to share, which will be grabbed by the audience.

A lot has been said about Sonam’s active attention towards fashion at the cost of her acting. Earlier, co-star Abhay Deol had hurled accusations at her for concentrating entirely on clothes, instead of her roles, during the making of Aisha. Going by her outstanding success in fashion as against a lacklustre show at the box-office, is this daddy’s girl considering a serious professional change?
